Muniirah Mbabazi


Muniirah Mbabazi is a team member at the House of Mentoring and Research Resources (HM2R). Muniirah holds a Master’s of Science degree in Applied Human Nutrition of Makerere University, Uganda. Muniirah has demonstrated experience in research; writing; education; curriculum development; entomophagy; community and public health nutrition. Muniirah has presented her works at both poster and podium at international conferences and workshops and has had several of her works published in conference proceeding papers, authored chapters in books and is a regular contributor to the health sections of several Ugandan print as visual media. She works with Nutrisat Uganda, a nutrition health education and communication firm in Uganda. She has worked with corporate organizations to enhance health and nutrition awareness of their employees among others. She is a member and Treasurer at the Uganda Action for Nutrition (UGAN) and also a member of the editorial board of the African Nutrition Matters (ANM) Newsletter. She is currently a doctoral student at the University of Nottingham, UK. Her doctoral research explores the contemporary landscape of food and nutrition security issues in the world with particular emphasis on food and nutrition policies in the developing world. As a member of HM2R her experience will be instrumental in achieving HM2R’s Goals.
